PROJECT: Rawlings NRG Quantum™ Football Helmet
Rawlings wanted to develop the next generation of innovative football helmet and asked us to help.
We delivered by crafting new innovations in player safety and comfort. Constructed with a unique protection system of communicating channels that dissipates impact force, the new Rawlings NRG Quantum™ football helmet answers protective needs and exceeds performance expectations with a customized fit for players of all skill levels and positions. It features these new innovations;
ACTIVE IMPACT ABSORPTION
Dual air bags with a scientifically-designed spacer material allows for instant and long-lasting protection, unlike standard conventional foams featuring;

Thermoplastic urethane (TPU) material construction with anti-microbial treatment to prevent mildew, fungus, mold and bacteria growth.

Durable system reduces break down over time unlike conventional foams; thus offering superior impact management

Velcro attachments for easy maintenance and replacement

Lightweight nylon spacer material helps maintain the pads designed shape without sacrificing performance efficiency
CUSTOM COMFORT CUSHION
The inflatable C3 liner allows players to customize their helmets’ fit based on their specific needs and Rawlings’ proprietary rate-dependent passive impact absorption cushioning provides maximum protection without sacrificing comfort. Features include;

Strategically placed vents and padding systems create optimizes air flow, the Heat Exchange system is designed to allow optimum temperature control. Features include;

ZOOMBANG
Zoombang™ is a unique visco-elastic polymer that is soft and fluid-like at rest, but upon impact molecules instantly stiffen to absorb up to 80% of impact forces.

Zoombang is soft and fluid-like to the touch.

Upon impact, Zoombang’s molecules lock together, spreading the shock to provide maximum protection.
